Version update 1.6!
Hi all! It's been a while!
I've finally had some free time to add some more features to this game that I've been wanting to for so long, in-fact I only really got down to it as I've been updating this game for each year I go to my local Global Game Jam site at my old University. Each year I've slipped an update of the game onto the arcade PCs there, ever since I originally loaded it onto their machine as part of Master's degree. And with the GGJ being a couple weeks ago, I hunkered down on fitting in a few more updates to the game, then realised I totally haven't updated itch for a while! So without further ado, here are all the new changes since v1.2, now here in the v1.6 update!
v1.2 - v1.6 Change Log:
*Increased base player & enemies movement speed for more lively gameplay
*Catching frightened enemies now doubles the points awarded for each enemy caught after the first caught from the same Tesseract. Collecting a new Tesseract resets this multiplier back to 1x (200 points awarded for next enemy caught).
+Added the ability to gain back a life every 10,000 points you score, if there is room in your lives slots at the time (max 3 extra lives).
+Added visualisation for the points scored from capturing ghosts that do a little rise animation too!
+Added a mute sound button that has it's state saved for when re-booting also!
+Added variable speed multipliers to the player and ghosts depending if on level 1, 2 to 4, 5 to 20, or 21 onwards. Also, now the player gets quicker when getting the tesseract for the first 4 levels too.
*Updated version number and company name to not be Unity's defaults, so saved score will reset!
*Updated splash screen to use my new Cirtoyt logo :D
+Added Infinity Stones as fruits that spawn in twice per level (when at 1/3 and 2/3 through pellets collected) and award increasing points per level/fruit type! They auto despawn after 9.5 seconds if not collected. They show the points they give in purple!
+Music now pitches up to 1.2 when 130 pellets are remaining, and to 1.4 when just 70 pellets are remaining!
v1.2 - v1.6 Bug Fixes:
*Fixed a bug where collecting another Tesseract whilst enemies were frightened didn't reset the frightened state timer.
*Fixed ghosts from entering a bugged state where they have no hitbox and are stuck at half speed if a Tesseract is picked up whilst the enemy is retreating to the TVA.
*Fixed a bug where if ghosts were in the middle of returning to the TVA when the frightened mode time runs out, they would instantly go back to chasing/scattering movement mode. Now they will complete their trip back home~
